Testing Information


Knowledge Testing

We offer all classes of knowledge testing, Class 1 through to Class 7.

You do not need an appointment to take the test.

The tests are 30 questions, they are multiple choice, and are conducted on the computer.

You must be in our office at least 1 hour before closing.

Please bring Acceptable Identification, and if you are a minor, you must be accompanied by a parent for the first time. Your parent must also bring acceptable identification, and will be required to fill out a parental consent form.

Road Testing

We offer all classes of road testing, Class 1 through to Class 6.

We offer both the Basic and the Advanced Road test.

The Basic Road test is the test you take after having a learners for one full year.

The Advanced road test will remove your GDL status, it is taken after 2 years of having a class 5 GDL licence. For more information regarding the GDL program: http://www.saferoads.com/drivers/drivers_newdrivers.html .

We have Alberta Driver Examiners who conduct the road tests. Before taking a road test, our registry staff will screen you for eligibility.

You must provide a vehicle appropriate for the class of test you are taking. You may phone our office to find out information about availability; we can generally get you in for your test within a one or two day period. Same day bookings are also available, subject to availability.

You will have to come to our office to secure payment when finalizing an appointment.
